SPACE AND TIME IN MINIMALIST AND ABSTRACT PAINTING

PHILIPPE VAN SNICK
NL-EN

Starting June 2005 and under the title Space and Time in Minimalist and Abstract Painting: The Case of Philippe Van Snick, a research project was launched as part of the OPK, the Arts Research Platform of the KULeuven association. The research wants to offer a sustained analysis of several contrasting perspectives in the discourse on postwar abstract and minimalist painting. Roughly speaking, the project covers three areas: theoretical research, artistic research engaging the plastic work of Philippe Van Snick as its point of departure, and a number of workshops during the three year course of the project.
